Kobe, the birthplace of marathon in Japan.

The course winds its way through the streets of exotic Kobe whose urban sophistication is balanced by the natural beauty of the sparking Seto Island Sea in front and verdant Rokko Mountain Range behind.

The runners' sprits will be lifted by the hearty cheering and constant encouragement from the crowds lining the course.

  • Time Limit：7 hours（The runner must be able to complete the race within 6 hours and 30 minutes.） ＊Wheelchairs are not allowed.
Participation Fee
  • Charity Athlete bibs no apply: 21,500 JPY,
  • Charity Athlete bibs apply: 22,500 JPY.
  • *The charitable donation, including 200 JPY, will be administered by the Kobe Marathon Friendship Bank.

Participant’s Prize
  • We will provide all participants with a "Light Bag" (Asics made/commemorative design) made of 100% recycled materials at the runner reception, with consideration for sustainability. The bags are made of 100% recycled polyester, which includes some of the collected clothing as raw materials.

  • Overall (Gross Time) Top 8 men and women./Age Group (Net Time) Top 8 men and women in each age group, in 5-year increments. Excludes those awarded in Overall and Kobe Marathon Japan Top 8 categories./Kobe Marathon Consecutive Award Winner. Those who have received an award for three consecutive years since the 9th Kobe Marathon./KOBE MARATHON LAST SPURT CHALLENGE
