Ontario Ultra and Trail Series Awards & Ultra Legends Two Hour Fun Run

Directions to main Chalet: After you leave the gate house area, follow the roadway and take the first right turn, then enter the lower parking lot alongside the Main Chalet. Our access to the Chalet ends at 1 pm.

Fun run: Please arrive at the gate between 9 - 10 am. The run will start at 10 am, we plan to run or walk a 2.5 km section of Shades Mills. We will not be going over the bridge on the lower half toward the South East trails. Registered participants for the run/walk can also start when they arrive and follow the blue flags.

Washrooms available at the start finish area.

All participants will need to provide their own aid and no loops will be recorded.

The campfire at the main Chalet was a hit at the 2019 awards and we are grateful to the GRCA for allowing us to continue this tradition.

Dogs must be leashed and are not permitted inside the Chalet.

Cost: The cost is $25 and will include a name tag which will cover your gate entry fee, fun run, pizza, pop, water, cake, variety of potato chips and all registered participants will receive a prize.

Limited field: This event is limited to the first 80 to sign up by November 19th. If the event should sell out before that, any award winners that still want to join, please reach out to me directly.

Pizza delivery: The pizza will be delivered at 12 noon.

Ultra Legend Awards: These awards will start at 12:10 pm and this year’s recipients are Helen Malmberg and Hans Maier. Both recipients have inspired many people over the years in our ultra running community. They will both share their story. They may even share some of their secrets of success!

OUTRace Awards: The trail series awards will start at 12:20 pm and the Ultra Trail awards will start at 12:30 pm.

Any award winners unable to attend will receive their recognitions by mail, COD, or you can provide me with an email confirmation prior to the awards ceremony confirming the name of the person attending that will be picking up your award.

Surplus funds: Any surplus funds remaining from this event will be donated directly to the Ontario Ultra and Trail Series to help grow the series.
