My Story…
John Warnek is a former Old Forge resident who moved to Avoca in 2009 with his wife Nicole Bryk Warnek. He graduated high school in 2000 from Old Forge and went on to achieve a Bachelor's and Master's degree at Wilkes University.
John is currently a special education teacher at Wyoming Area, where he strives in helping students succeed in the classroom and in life. He will be entering his 9th year of teaching.
John is an active member of his community. He is the President of the Duryea Wildcats, Civil Service Commissioner of Avoca, Vice President of the Wyoming Valley West Youth Football and Cheer Conference, coach of multiple team sports, and always lending a helpful hand when needed.
John enjoys spending time with his family, watching Michigan Wolverines, and coaching Wildcat Football.

John is entering this run to raise donations to contribute to funding vital research on the causes, prevention, early detection, and treatment of all cancer. These donations can lead to medical advancements, improved treatments, and ultimately save lives.
John resides in Avoca with his wife Nicole Bryk Warnek, sons Brady and Cooper, and their cat Milo.
