My Story…
Hi everybody! I'm excited to announce that on October 22, I am finally making it to the event IN PERSON to participate in the Kids 1K walk in Grimsby along with Cooper's Crew in the fourth annual Run With Coops in support of the Cooper Robertson Foundation! I might actually be able to walk the entire 1K this year - I've been training hard this summer jumping on my trampoline and bouncy castle, and using my grandparents' swimming pool and climber... and helping my Dad mow the lawn in our new backyard in Milton!
This event raises funds for the Tuberous Sclerosis (TSC) clinic at SickKids Hospital. TSC is a genetic disease causing progressive tumour growth in many important organs including the brain, kidneys, heart, lungs, skin, and eyes. This disease has no cure, but medical research and treatments are bringing new and improved therapeutic options. And, because of your support, the specialized TSC clinic at SickKids has been able to provide an increasing amount of much needed support for the more than 120 kids who rely on this clinic, as well as the TSC research database. As most of you know, I am also living with TSC, and thus I have benefited directly from your support through all my visits at the clinic at SickKids. Any donation, big or small, is greatly appreciated.
