We're back for our 2nd year of the running of the Stratford 5k Run/Walk.

The Local CFC Stratford 5K Run/Walk will start and finish in Upper Queens Park Stratford Ontario. The route will take you past the beautiful Victoria lake and the legendary Stratford Festival theatres. This race will be chip timed and is welcomed to all runners, walkers and strollers. We will also have a FREE kids race with medals, starting 8:50am sharp. You must register your child(ren) to participate. The kids run is approximately 600 metres. 100% of the proceeds go to The Local Community Food Centre.

Something new to look out for this year. We're introducing the No Frill Yellow bib. Selecting the No Frills bib means you are opting out from receiving a race t-shirt and medal. There is no discounts for green bibs through the early bird pricing window.

Race Day Registration fee is $45, please register online to avoid price increase!

Registration fee on September 29th and 30th is $45.

We will try our best to have an electronic payment option but this is not guaranteed. Please expect to pay cash for registration September 29, 30 and October 1st.

Refunds

You may request a full refund till August 31, 2023 by sending your request to stratford5km@gmail.com. We will refund the full amount minus the processing fee.

TEAMS - You may register as a team. There will be a team category award. 3 fastest times from your team will be used to determine the winning team. You MUST have the minimum number of 3 participants in your team!

The Local Community Food Centre in Stratford, Ontario, empowers those with barriers to accessing and benefiting from good healthy food by offering opportunities to cook, grow, share, and advocate for good food for everyone in our community. We approach the problems of poverty and food insecurity as justice issues rather than acts of charity, knowing that access to good food is central to health and should be treated as a basic right. Our programs empower people to advocate for themselves and assists them in building kitchen and gardening skills that help alleviate their food insecurity in a dignified and non-stigmatizing way. While our emphasis is on empowering our low-income neighbours, we welcome the whole community to access our services and programs to promote connectedness and enhance belonging as we work together to build a stronger, more resilient community for us all.
