iHeartMedia St. Louis recognizes the affect Breast Cancer has on the women in the African American community and their families. We continue our dedication to the African American community in 2024 encouraging women to get mammograms because early detection saves lives. This year we are hosting our 15th Annual Sista Strut 3K Walk and Car Parade sponsored by Brown and Croupen on Saturday, October 5TH in Downtown St. Louis at the corner of 14th and Market to continue bringing awareness and raise money to give back to the community.
For the past 14 years, the Sista Strut Breast Cancer Walk has heightened awareness about the issues of breast cancer in women of color, as well as provided information on resources and saved lives of women in our community. Sista Strut also recognizes the strength of survivors, their family and friends, promotes early detection, and continues to search for a cure.
Sista Strut will benefit 5 organizations in the St. Louis Area, The Breakfast Club Inc., The Pink Angels Foundation, Siteman Cancer Center, The Mercy Breast Cancer Center and SSM Health- St. Mary's Hospital. We have donated more than $270,000 back to the community in an effort to find a cure and to help survivors and their families.

Sista Strut VIP Parade Closed

VIP registration allows one person to put their car in the car parade and a registration package which includes a shirt, mask, water bottle, and sling bag. Each person riding in the car, truck, or motorcycle must be registered for Sista Strut. This registration only covers the car and the driver, and additional car occupants must sign up for the event as a walker to be allowed on the parade course and receive a registration package.

FAQs
When and Where is Sista Strut?
Sista Strut will be held Saturday, October 7th in downtown St. Louis. This year we will be hosting the Breast Cancer Awareness traditional walk, plus a car, truck, and motorcycle parade sponsored by Brown and Crouppen. The pre-walk prep rally will start at 8am and the traditional 3K walk will start at 9am. All participants in the 3K walk will need to meet at 15th and Chestnut Street at 7am. All vehicles participating in the parade will need to meet at the St. Louis City Hall parking lot located at 14th and Clark Street at 7am.
Will I be able to walk alongside a vehicle in the parade?
Due to safety concerns, no one will be allowed to walk alongside a moving vehicle. All participants in the car parade will need to stay inside their designated vehicle.
Will the walkers and cars be lined up side-by-side?
No. All vehicles will be behind the participants in the 3K walk once the parade starts.
Will the walkers be able to see the parade?
Yes, the walkers will line up on 14th Street between Olive and Clark Street to see the car, truck and motorcycle parade.
What if it rains?
Sista Strut will proceed rain or shine.
Where do the proceeds go?
Sista Strut proceeds help benefit 5 local organizations in the St. Louis Area, The Breakfast Club Inc, The Pink Angles Foundation, Siteman Cancer Center, The Mercy Breast Cancer Center and SSM Health-St. Mary’s hospital.
Do I need to have a team?
You can register as a individual, team or VIP.
When is Early Bird Package Pick Up?
All early bird packages purchased from July 1-31st 2023 will be available for pick up September 1st 2023. Time and Location TBD If you cannot make it to pick up your package, please send a representative with a copy/picture of your State ID/Driver License and your Sista Strut registration form. (If package purchased after July 31st 2023 it will not be available during early bird pick up)
Where Do I Pick up Registration Package?
All Sista Strut packages purchased on or before September 17th will be available for pick up on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at Harris Stowe State University from 9am until 3pm and Sunday October 1, 2023 from 9am until 3pm. If you cannot make it to pick up your package, please send a representative with a copy/picture of your State ID/Driver License and your Sista Strut registration form.
What is the difference between individual vs team registration?
All individual and team registration fees are the same, which includes the Sista Strut t-shirt, water bottle and backpack for both individual and team members.
What is the VIP registration?
VIP registration includes the Sista Strut t-shirt, water bottle, backpack and one vehicle to be placed in the car parade. (all VIP Car rides must be pre-registered for Sista Strut 2023)
Vehicles Meet Up
All vehicles participating in the parade will need to meet at St. Louis City Hall parking lot located at 14th and Clark Street at 7am
