"Work Harder It's Not Chemo" is a slogan that Project Purple has adopted to encourage you to do more and push harder. Making your movement matter to raise awareness for pancreatic cancer is nothing compared to what someone facing chemotherapy treatments has to go through.

When we challenge our bodies through physical activities we can change someone's life. Whether by way of motivating them to not give up or by letting them know they are not alone in their fight and have a community that is joining together to smash cancer.

Join the "Work Harder It's Not Chemo" campaign and put your body to work for those that cannot - all while challenging yourself or a group of friends to 12 minutes of movement!

This event is part of our virtual series meaning you or your team can participate wherever you like, whether that means at your own homes, at a local gym, at a park, on a track, or wherever you prefer. While it is more fun to participate with your team in person, it's not a requirement and you can join the party solo as well.

Here is how it works:

• Register yourself or create a team.
• Choose an activity that will challenge you. Run, row, walk, burpees, push-ups, anything you want.
• Challenge your team - or just yourself to complete 12 minutes of the movement you choose
• On August 25th, 26th, or 27th, perform your selected activity for 12 minutes. Why 12? The five-year survival rate for pancreatic cancer is 12%.
• Post photos and videos to social media! Be sure to tag Project Purple and use #ProjectPurple #PancreaticCancer and #WorkHarderItsNotChemo (Our handles are @projectpurple on Instagram, @Run4ProjectPurple on Facebook, and @ProjectPurple4PC on TikTok)

• When you register, you will receive a Project Purple Work Harder It’s Not Chemo shirt.*
  • If you'd like to receive your shirt before the run/walk*, you must register by Aug. 1st. Otherwise, you will receive your shirt after the event. Shirts are only available for shipping within the continental U.S.
