REGISTRATION
What is Stripes Run?
Stripes Run is McDonald's Philippines' run that brings together families and friends to run for reading and pledge support for Read to Learn program, a beginning reading program of the Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC).
Is there an age limit to register for the Stripes Run?
There’s no age limit to register in the Stripes Run 2023. However, individuals that are not yet of legal age (17 years old and below) should be accompanied by their parents/guardians.
How can I register?
All participants need to register online in just three easy steps. First, visit the Stripes Run website: www.mcdostripesrun.com.ph. The link once clicked, will be redirected in the race roster site. Register and choose your preferred mode of payment. Run registration site, Race Roster. Second, fill out the form by choosing the race category, shirt sizes and the complete info. Lastly, Pay online via Gcash, Credit Card and Bank Transfer.
When is the registration period?
Online registration will start on October 25 to December 3, 2023
Is the online registration system secure?
Yes. We use a security system consistent with the banking industry standards of the Philippines.
*Please note: Online registration with delivery entails extra costs: processing and web fee and delivery fee, on top of published registration fees.
Can I register directly at any McDonald’s Store?
No. Stripes Run will accept registration online via www.mcdostripesrun.com.ph.
When is the Stripes Run race event?
The Stripes Run race event will happen on December 10, 2023 at 4:00 AM.
Where is the venue for Stripes Run this year?
The Stripes Run race event will be held at SM MOA Concert Grounds
What will I get if I register?
All participants will receive race kits inclusive of a race shirt, race socks, dog bib (for fur category ONLY) race bib, race map, breakfast meal and finisher’s token to be given on the day of the race.

What is the material of the shirt?
The Stripes Run 2023 race shirt is dri-fit and 100% polyester.
Will there be onsite registration during the race day?
No. Online registration period will be on October 25 to December 3 ONLY. We will keep you informed of any updates & announcements in our social media pages.
I registered but I won’t be able to attend on the day of the race event. Can I still claim my free breakfast meal and finisher’s token after the event?
No. The finisher’s token and the breakfast meal can be claimed during the Stripes Run race event only.
I registered already but I decided to change my race category. Is this possible?
No. Once registered, we can no longer change the race category as registration is non-transferable and non-refundable.
I already registered but I decided not to do the run anymore, can I have a refund?
No, registration is non-transferable and non-refundable as stated in our Terms and Conditions agreed prior registration confirmation.

I am 18 years old and I want to join the 1K Kiddie Stripes category, can I register?
No. The 1K Kiddie Stripes category is for kids aged 8 years old and below. Runners aged 16 years old and above can join the 3K Adult, 5K Squad, 5K Adult or 10K categories.
How may race kits do we get if we are joining the 3K Family or 5K Squad category?
Participants will get FOUR (4) race kit for family or squad with FOUR (4) race bibs and FOUR (4) shirts.
We are a family or friends of FOUR (4), but we would like to join the individual categories, can we do that?
Yes. You may join EITHER the individual categories OR the family/squad category, depending on your preference. Corresponding registration fees will apply.
We are a family or friends of FOUR (4), can we WIN BOTH in the Individual and Family categories?
No. You may only win in EITHER the individual OR in the family/squad category.
Can we join the FAMILY or SQUAD CATEGORY even if we join in different distances?
No. The family and squad category is only for the 3K and 5K distance.
If we are a group of 4, but we don’t belong to the same family, can we join the 3K Family or 5K Squad category?
Yes. You can join as long as you are a group of FOUR and within the specified age requirements: 2 KIDS (15 years old and below) and 2 ADULTS (16 years old and above) for 3K Family and 4 ADULTS (16 years and above) for 5K Squad.
Can I bring my pets to the run?
Yes, you can! We have a separate category for fur companions, they can register and participate with their fur pet.
If I am registered in an individual category, can I still bring my dog? Or pets?
No, you can’t. Bringing of pet is solely for 1K Fur Stripes ONLY. Organizer will not allow entry if the pet is not authorized or registered in the run.
What if my fur companion is in heat or aggressive, are we still allowed to participate?
No. Fur companions that are in heat/aggressive will not be allowed to participate. Veterinarians are available on the race day, and will screen your fur companions before entering or prior the start of the race.
Are you allowed to unleash your fur companions?
No. Fur companions must be on their leashes at all times within the race routes and village. Participants must be liable and responsible for their fur companions.
Will there be a dog singlet during the run?
Yes, the pet bandana will be delivered via door to door or store pick up. This will be included in the race inclusions for the 1K Fur Stripes.
Is there a size limitation for the pet category?
No size limitation for the fur companion, but participants must be responsible for the fur companions. Aggressive or inheat fur pets will not be allowed to enter or join the run.
If my fur companion was advised to not participate, is it possible to refund our participation?
No. Refund for inheat/aggressive fur companions will not be allowed.

What if I register 1 pet, but I brought two. Is this allowed?
This is not allowed, only the registered dog participants can be allowed to enter the race routes and village.
Will my dog companion receive any food from McDonald’s?
No, there is now free dog food to be claimed by the dog companion. However, we have dog freebies from our pet partners to be given on race day
Can my dog companion, where any dog costumer or attire?
No this is not allowed, ALL Fur Stripes participant will be given a dog bib for the race day. Only required/allowed attire or accessories for our dog companions are leashes and Stripes Run dog bandana
Is there any designated dog hydration area?
Yes, there will be designated dog hydration area along the race route, and race village.
Is there a specific place for a dog park?
Yes, there is a specific area where dogs can play and meet other friend.
Is there an available veterinarian during race day?
Yes, their will be. Veterinarians will scene our dog companions first before allowing to enter the race village
What if my dog got lost, will McDonald’s be liable?
No, it is the owner’s responsibility to take care and look after their dog companion. Leashes are required all time and must not be removed during the race day.
MODE OF PAYMENT
What are the modes of payment?
Upon online registration, participants can choose to either pay by GCash, Credit Card and thru Bank Transfer. A payment instruction will be provided to the participants as a guide.
Do you accept cash payments?
No. All payment for Stripes Run will be via GCash, Credit Card and Bank transfer only.
FOR GADC RSC EMPLOYEES AND MANAGERS
Do we have an employee discount?
Yes. All GADC RSC employees and salaried store personnel are eligible to a PHP 100 discount.
Can we opt for salary deduction?
No. Salary deduction will not be allowed this year. Payment will all be via Bank Transfer, GCASH, and Credit Card.
CONFIRMATION EMAIL
How will I get a confirmation after a successful registration?
Once the registration fee is paid, participants will be receiving a confirmation email with all summary of information and payment fee from MCDOSTRIPESRUN with an email address of mcdostripesrun@runrio.com. Please check your inbox, promotions folder and spam folder for the confirmation.
What will I do if I didn’t get a confirmation email?
Participants may contact us via Hotline at 0967 361 3825 and email to mcdostripesrun@runrio.com or via the RUNRIO Facebook Messenger from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
CLAIMING OF RACE KITS
How can I claim my race kit?
Race kits can be claimed at the selected McDonald’s store starting November 20 to December 3, 2023. For runners who will register between Nov 13-26 , claiming of race kits will be from December 4 to 7. Runners who will register Nov 27 onwards may claim their race kits on December 9 (10 AM to 7PM) at Block 16, SM Moa Concert Grounds.
Participants should present the McDo Stripes Run confirmation email, together with a valid ID for verification.
I couldn’t claim my race kit during the claiming period? Can I claim it on the event day?
Unclaimed race kits can be claimed on December 9 (10 AM to 7PM) at Block 16, SM MOA Concert Grounds.
A dedicate booth for claiming the race kits will be available at the Race event.
Can I ask a friend or colleague to claim the race kit for me?
Yes, as long as the person claiming the race kit has a copy of the McDo Stripes Run Confirmation email, a copy of the registrant's valid ID, and an authorization letter to be validated by the McDonald’s store representative.
Can I change the size of my shirt after registration and confirmation?
Changing of Shirt sizes is NOT ALLOWED after the registration form has been submitted. Participants should refer to the race shirt size chart on the online registration site.
RACE EVENT
Will there be winners?
Yes. Top 3 finishers per race category will be declared as winners.
Where will the awarding ceremony take place?
The awarding ceremony will take place inside Stripes Run Race Village.
Will the run time per runner be tracked?
No, the top 3 winners will be only tracked.
Is it required to wear the Stripes Run shirts during the race?
Yes. The Stripes Run shirt included in the race kit will be used during the run.
Are there freebies on the day of the race?
Yes. There will be giveaways/freebies on the race event day.
How can I claim my finisher’s token and my free breakfast meal?
To claim the free breakfast meal and finisher’s token, participants may present the race bib meal stub at the redemption booth within the Stripes Run Race Village.
Will there be baggage counters and changing areas?
Yes. There will be baggage counters and changing tents at the Stripes Run Race Village.
Will there be available portalets on the race day?
Yes. There will be portalets inside the Stripes Run Race Village.
Will there be road closures and parking facilities at the start and finish line?
Yes. Parts of the race route on the event day will be closed. Please refer to the official road advisory in the official race and LGU traffic advisories to be deployed 3 days prior race for specific road closure timings.
Are you offering discounts for the following?
a. SENIOR CITIZENS:
NO. The Stripes Run is a fund-raising activity for its flagship program Read to Learn Program, under Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC). The Stripes Run registration fee is not covered by the goods against which a Senior Citizen may apply the 20% discount or VAT exemption. Entitlement extends only to purchase of food, beverages and other consumables for their personal consumption and enjoyment.
b. GROUP REGISTRATION:
NO. The Stripes Run is a fund-raising activity for its flagship program Read to Learn Program. We encourage customers to invites their friends and family to sign up and contribute to the fund-raising event for the benefit of Read to Learn Program. For groups of 4 that qualify the specifications of 3K Family and 5K Squad categories, Php 2,099 for 3K Family and Php 2,799 for 5K Squad registration fee already recognize big savings.
