Dashing Through the Pines

At Camp Wesley Pines, we’re always in the process of improving our programming. Since Dashing Through the Pines (DTTP) is a trail run, we feel that it makes sense for the event to support our growing Outpost Program. To that end, every bit of this year’s DTTP proceeds will help fund our new Outpost village!

The Outpost village will be open air structures across the lake from our cabins. This camp will be a primitive experience, operating independently from the rest of camp by gathering electricity through a renewable energy capture system. In addition to electricity, Outpost will also have running water and a sewage system.

The total cost of this project is $12,000, but we have already received a grant for $2,000! In addition to the grant, NOMADS (Nomads On a Mission Active in Divine Service https://www.methodistnomads.org/) will be volunteering their time in order to complete the construction. Our fundraising goal for DTTP is to raise the remaining $10,000 towards this exciting project.

There's no doubt in our minds that we can achieve this goal through the unwavering support of the Camp Wesley Pines community - and we're eager to hear the stories that come from the race!

Festive Attire Welcomed!

Since it is so close to Christmas, Dashers are encouraged to wear festive attire as they run!

What do participants get?

All participants that sign up before November 24 will receive a medal upon completion of their event, breakfast at camp, and a t-shirt on the day of the event. Participants that sign up after November 24 are not guaranteed a t-shirt.
