Barrington Rotary Club
Barrington Rotary Club (BRC) is a service organization comprised of 50 members – men and women – from diverse backgrounds who live in the Barrington area and in surrounding communities in Illinois. BRC is a member of Rotary International which is a global organization of 1.2 million leaders whose vision statement is "Together we see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change - across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves."
BRC members provide their time, talent, technology and leadership to implement a number of humanitarian and educational programs locally and internationally. They have also clocked thousands of volunteer hours of service to community projects and charitable efforts.
Having FUN and FELLOWSHIP with like-minded people is a hallmark of our club. We work shoulder to shoulder making friends while getting things done to improve our community and the world.
The BRC meets every Thursday for either breakfast, lunch, or a service project. The breakfast meetings are at at 7:00 AM at the Hanson Law Group Office, 1000 Hart Rd. Suite 300 in Barrington, Illinois. The lunch meetings are at Ciao Baby Restaurant located at 232 E. Main Street in downtown Barrington. The service project days are variable. but we generally have 2 or more service projects per month. Since the pandemic, we have been meeting in a hybrid format so zoom is also available.
Interested guests and visitors are welcome and are invited to join the club for breakfast and a fun-filled weekly program. For information on our club check out our website at: https://barringtonrotary.org
For information on attending a meeting or on membership, please email: info@barringtonrotary.org
Ride is Benefitting
All riders are encouraged to solicit donations for The Rotary Foundation PolioPlus campaign. The bike ride is raising money to End Polio by providing vaccinations globally. Polio is a serious infectious disease that can cause death and paralysis.
This campaign has been an ongoing effort of Rotary International since 1985 when the global PolioPlus campaign was begun. We are close to completing this goal and every dollar you raise is matched by a 2 to 1 grant by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, This campaign also provides public health infrastructure for many developing countries.
