The Cowtown Trailblazer Official Cowtown Program
The Cowtown Trailblazer Program is a comprehensive training program for those interested in group or virtual training for The 2024 Cowtown Half, Full, and Ultra Marathons. The program will kick off on October 7th. Previous race times will be used to calculate placement into a pace group. Paces are given during the training period such as speed interval paces and easy long run pace. The Trailblazer program offers in-person group activities as well as virtual options.
The Cowtown Trailblazer 5K Training Program will prepare you for an impressive finish at our 5K Cowtown race. We will teach you the tools to train properly for a 5K, including how to get faster using weekly speedwork as well as teaching correct run form and pacing. You will meet with a coach twice per week for 8 weeks. You will receive a running schedule each week that builds to a 5K. Some runs will be on your own. A Cowtown training shirt is included in the program, as well as a discount for the Cowtown 5K race.
No matter when you join, we can create a plan for you to run your best race. The Trailblazer program provides lots of group activities: Tuesday Trackwork, Saturday long runs with pace coaches, and Thursday Social Runs starting in September. We will send detailed weekly emails and schedules, as well as have a private Facebook group page for communication. Perks include different routes each Saturday (specifically on the Cowtown racecourse), seminars on relevant topics, and a Trailblazer training shirt. You will also enjoy a hefty discount for the Cowtown race at the end of February. Everything can be done virtually if you choose our virtual training option.
