SimWars is a student competition led by Dr. Alan Watts (EM Consultant at UHL) in which participants engage in scenarios likely to be encountered in the emergency department.
The scenarios will become more challenging in terms of diagnosis, patient management, and situational stressors as teams progress through the competition.
The final round will push teams slightly beyond expected student standards at graduation. How teams deal with these challenges and the quality of their teamwork and communication throughout, will determine their success. Above all, SimWars is meant to be an educational experience delivered through a friendly, yet, competitive format. Engaging in simulations, debriefings, and reflective sessions, as well as with the teaching workshops, will help you get the most out of the experience.
