Boxing Day 4 miler

Due to the Hamilton harries deciding NOT to organize this years events we, have decided to keep it going,albeit only the 4 miler,as we didnt have enough time to design a police friendly 10 mile course.(please note we do expect the Hamilton Harriers to once again put this event on in 2024)...we are only doing it to keep the tradition alive!

We will have lots of room inside leander Boat club before the race with washrooms as well.

Over the years some of Hamilton/Canada's great runners have run in this iconic event and we hope that continues this year.(see above photos)

Roger Martindill-multi timed winner/around the bay race champion

Rob Earl- multi timed winner/ 2nd place world junior x-country champs

David Edge- multi timed winner/ commonwealth games marathon- Silver medalist.

All of these men made Hamilton home over the years and supported this great race winning everything from fishing rods to order of chicken wings!(this is the truth) on the hilly old Hamilton to Dundas and back course that was used until the early 2000's!!!

Runners will receive-_

custom finishing medal-much different from the past 5-10 years(see photo to the right of the page)...ALL runners will get one.

waterproof knap sack-limited to those registering by dec 1/2023.

HOT food will be served after the race for all runners.

Course- Flat and fast- around pier 4 park then a loop of Bayfront Park to start then out to just past the 1600m mark of the waterfront trail and straight shot back to Pier 4 park.

Chip timing provided by ENFIELD TIMING.

Awards - 1st 3 over-all male and female...

1st place. in 10 year age groups.
