On January 6, 1912, New Mexico is admitted into the United States as the 47th state. Spanish explorers passed through the area that would become New Mexico.

Enjoy a flat fast scenic course that will go through beautiful Las Cruces pecan orchards and with views of the majestic Organ Mountains. The out-and-back course with mixed surface terrain will be mostly a pathway and road. A small portion of gravel trails is included.

Sunshine and blue skies are the typical forecast for Las Cruces with average temperatures of 45 degrees. We can almost guarantee it will be a perfect day for a run!

Packet Pick-up Friday, January 5th, 2024, opens at 9:00 am - closes at 6:30 pm, and will be held at our host hotel (1st floor near lobby area) Holiday Inn Express located at 2142 Telshore Court Las Cruces, NM 88011

8:45 AM MST - 4.7-Mile Celebration Run (Chip Timing)
9:00 AM MST - .47-mile Kids Mini Celebration Dash Start
10:00 AM MST - Awards can begin to be picked up at the Awards Tent

Cutoff Times making you nervous?

Join the "Early Bird" start wave and begin your race at 7 a.m., giving you an extra hour on the course. The caveat: the "Early Bird" wave is only for runners that will need the extra time to finish within the course limits, not for faster runners who want to be done earlier. (not eligible for awards) The first few aid stations along the course may not be set up when you arrive so you will need to plan accordingly.

26 itemsA few fun facts from 2023 we had 47 states represented and 2 countries with the gender being split almost 51% male /49% female. Big shout out to Texas representing the highest number for out-of-state followed by Illinois specifically folks coming in from the windy city of Chicago.

Our age groups are the following.

10-15; 16-19; 20-24;25-29;30-34;35-39;40-44;45-49;50-54;55-59;60-64;65-69;70-74;75 & up.
