Welcome to the Donut Run 5K!
This is the only race around where you are rewarded for eating donuts!
This annual event will take place this year on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at Ada Hayden Heritage Park in Ames, IA.
Every donut you eat along the course takes additional time off of your finishing time. The more donuts you eat, the bigger each consecutive time bonus gets. Careful though--we enforce the Chucky rule, which states that anyone who loses their donuts before the finish line starts his or her count over at zero!
We award runners in the following categories:
Best Donut Adjusted Time (Men & Women), Most Donuts Eaten & Best Costume.
