Autism Connections, formerly known as the Autism Society Greater Cincinnati (ASGC), was founded by local parents and professionals in 1971, the first such organization in this area at a time when autism was frequently misunderstood. Over the years, we have shifted and adapted to the changing and growing needs of the autism community and today, nearly 50 years after our founding, we have grown to be the leading resource in Cincinnati for individuals and families living with autism.
Through our support groups, recreational programs, and our information and resources helpline, we are working to help families navigate their autism journey. We continue to look for ways to better support families living with autism and partner with many other local autism organizations because we know we are a stronger if we work together.
We serve individuals with autism their families and caregivers, the larger Cincinnati community and all providers and professionals who are working with the autism community in the Greater Cincinnati region. We cover three states and eight counties; in Ohio we serve: Hamilton, Butler, Clermont and Warren counties; in Kentucky: Boone, Kenton, and Campbell counties; and in Indiana: Dearborn county.
