My Story…
This isn't the first time I've run for this cause, but it is the first time I will be running (5K) due to the loss of both of my parents to this cancer. In 2020 when Mom, Christie and I ran in Dad's memory in 3 different locations due to Covid, I said "3 hearts in 3 different locations united in motion; inspired by those we've lost, those fighting and hoping to ease the burden on those in the future." I didn’t know I was talking about us in the future.
This time is for Mom.
Description
We aren’t looking for sympathy. We’re looking for results. That means raising survival rates by funding research, as well as increasing awareness, education and patient support. We’ve invested nearly $5 million across Canada. Which means we’re on the cusp of a breakthrough in early detection, treatment and improving patient outcomes.
