My Story…
My brother Kiran was diagnosed with Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA) in Oct 2017 at 20 months old. It's a chronic condition with no cure. He received steroid injections in his joints in Nov 2017. We are so lucky and and grateful that Kiran has been symptom-free since then. Kiran is now in hip hop dance!
In 2017 we discovered Cassie and Friends, a charity that helps kids with juvenile arthritis. They’ve been expanding their footprint in Calgary and across Canada ever since. There are races in 11 different cities this year! This month they held a big Family Day event in Toronto which was so impactful the first time we experienced it. When we heard about what other JIA families go through, we felt compelled to help.
