Help us raise money

For participating in Servus Calgary Marathon 2024

Our story…

Double the distance, double the goal...

Hello family and friends!

As some of you know, my mother, Lori Wopnford, passed away in the summer of 2018 from multiple myeloma. In the month before Lori passed away, my family participated in a charity run called “Multiple Miles for Myeloma” hosted by the Myeloma Alberta Support Society. Inspired by this annual event and for the second year in a row, my girlfriend, Kandace Peroramas, and I will run the Calgary Marathon on May 26th and raise money/awareness for multiple myeloma. With the help of the Myeloma Alberta Support Society, all the money raised will be split between the Tom Baker Cancer Centre and the Cross Cancer Institute.

We greatly appreciate any donations that you can make!

Some info on Multiple Myeloma:

Multiple myeloma is a type of cancer that affects white blood cells found in the bone marrow.  With multiple myeloma, cancerous blood cells multiply and accumulate, creating tumors and crowding out healthy blood cells.

While accounting for only 1% of all cancers worldwide, over 1 million people suffer from the disease.
