My Story…
Dear Friends and Family,
Team MAX AIR is raising funds for the SickKids Foundation in honour of my beloved Uncle David Francis Raab, who passed on in January from complications due to autoimmune disease.
David was an inspiration in business, as a father and grandfather, who pushed life to the limits. His slogan "MAX AIR", which came from his days as a ski jumper, speaks to his philosophy of squeezing the juice out of life and living without fear or apology for one's goals.
This year I'm running with the goal of a sub 3:30:00 time to honor the MAX AIR ethos.
I've chosen SickKids as a preferred organization because of my Uncle David and Aunt Kim's close relationship with the foundation -- their son had heart regeneration surgery at SickKids Hospital as an infant.
I appreciate your generosity in this cause and encourage you to follow my journey on the day of the race.
