My Story…
On January 1st 2022, my Dad suffered a heart attack that involved a collapse and fall to the ground. The result of this fall led to a brain bleed which made his situation much worse. Since that time, he has been non-verbal and bound to a wheelchair. He hasn't been able to return home and was moved to a long-term care facility after a long stint in the hospital. This of course has taken a toll on myself and all of my family.
My Dad was always an active and healthy man. I watched him run and jog for many years, and regret having not gone for a run with him way back when. I have run the BMO Half Marathon numerous times. This year, I have chosen to register as a charity runner, raising funds for the Heart & Stroke Foundation. I dedicate this year's run to my Dad, who has always encouraged me to do my best and to be proud. Please consider helping me reach my fundraising goal.
