The Kiwiman Xtreme Triathlon takes place in Taranaki, a region located on the South-Western part of the North Island in New Zealand. This event offers participants a truly unique racing experience, encompassing various elements such as a lake swim, a bike ride around the renowned Taranaki Maunga, and a scenic seaside run concluding on the trails at the base of the Maunga.
Distinguished as the sole extreme full distance triathlon in New Zealand, Kiwiman provides a challenging and exhilarating opportunity for athletes. The race commences in New Plymouth, where participants embark on a 3800-meter swim in the picturesque Lake Rotomanu. Following the swim, competitors face a 194 kilometre bike course circling Mount Taranaki, and finally, a 42-kilometre run culminating at the Egmont Camphouse, offering breathtaking panoramic views.
As part of the race experience, all participants will receive swim caps and goodie bags during the briefing, along with complimentary bike checks. Additionally, upon completing the race, all finishers will be rewarded with a Kiwiman shirt, while the top three athletes in each category will receive medals as an acknowledgement of their impressive achievements
