My Story…
Please help me raise funds for Pancreatic Cancer Research at The Ottawa Hospital
On May 25/26, I will be running in the Ottawa Race Weekend to raise awareness and funds for pancreatic cancer research, in memory of my husband and to support all those who have been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.
Pancreatic Cancer is the third deadliest cancer causing death. There is no early detection test, treatment or cure for pancreatic cancer.
Every year, 7,200 Canadians will be diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and over 80% of these people will die within 3 to 6 months.
At the moment, there is not a treatment or cure available for this type of cancer as it is the least funded cancer for research, receiving only 0.1% of all the cancer money raised for research.
Your donation will go to Dr. Ilkow’s lab, to purchase a table top X-Ray irradiator to help them continue their research in pancreatic cancer at the Ottawa Hospital.
Please support me to help change the lives of pancreatic patients by donating.
