Raise money for Hamilton Conservation Foundation
The Hamilton Conservation Foundation raises and manages funds for priority conservation projects of the Hamilton Conservation Authority in the areas of land acquisition and improvements, environmental education, and cultural heritage. Donations from the Sulphur Springs Trail Race are directed to trail development and improvements in Dundas Valley Conservation Area.
The Burlington Runners Club is a Pioneer of Conservation donor to the Hamilton Conservation Foundation having contributed over $90,000 to date to the trail improvements in the Dundas Valley Conservation Area through the Hamilton Conservation Foundation. All this money has come from the proceeds of the Sulphur Springs Trail Races. Below, Race Co-Directors Brian Donaldson and Les Michalak present a cheque for $11,070 to Foundation Executive Director Grace Correia and Dundas Valley Technician Nick Burgiss from the 2019 race proceeds. Donations from the race continue to improve the trails in Dundas Valley for all users.
