Wear Red Canada Movement Challenge
JOIN US! We are welcoming anyone and everyone who would like to get active and raise awareness for women’s heart health.
When: Between February 13 and 29, 2024
What: Choose the physical activity format that suits you best:
- Distance: 5km or 10km,
OR - Time: 30 minutes or 60 minutes of movement
Where: Anywhere! (outdoors, indoors, the gym, pool, your home, etc.)
Physical activity: It is up to you to choose a physical activity you are comfortable with. Some ideas include: running, walking, hiking, snowshoeing, skiing, doing yoga, or even dancing!
You don’t have to do it all at once! Track your progress towards a cumulative distance of 5 or 10km, or a time of 30 or 60 minutes of movement of your choice.
Sign up as an individual or join a team. Encourage your family, friends and coworkers to get involved! Create your own team or use the ‘View Teams’ button to search for a team to join.
Participant Kits: Upon entry, registrants will receive a Wear Red Canada branded t-shirt, medal, and certificate of completion. *Please note: The first 300 participants registered will receive a medal.
- Go Green! you can also opt out of receiving the t-shirt and/or medal if you prefer to go green.
Be sure to register early so you can receive your participant kit by February 13! Participant kits may not arrive at your address by the event start date if registration is placed after February 3, 2024. Participant kits will be sent out starting January 2024. Shipping and RaceRoster fees will be applied at checkout.
Discounts: Groups (3 or more registrants at checkout) will receive a 15% discount at the time of registration. Families and children are welcome!
Fundraising: Be a women’s heart health champion! Fundraise as an individual or as a team to support the Wear Red Canada campaign and help fund important programs that educate and advocate for women’s heart health in Canada. After your registration is complete, you will be given a unique link to collect online donations.
You do not need to register for the Movement Challenge to show your support. By clicking ‘Donate to participant,’ you can search for an individual or a team to donate to.
Your results: You can upload your results to the online leaderboard after each individual physical activity or all at once. Upon registration, you will receive an email with instructions on how to do this. (It is also ok if you don’t want to share your results!)

Why women’s heart health?
Heart disease is the number one killer of women worldwide and the leading cause of premature death in women in Canada. Globally, cardiovascular diseases affect 1 out of 3 women, yet women everywhere are Under-studied, Under-diagnosed, Under-treated, and Under-aware. It doesn’t have to be this way.
With the right information and action, it's possible to prevent heart disease or improve your chances of surviving it to lead a healthy life. Learn more about women’s heart health and take the first easy steps toward a healthier heart by arming you with information.
