February 9-10 @ Dow's Lake

BeaverTails Ottawa Ice Dragon Boat Festival is the largest ice dragon boat race in the world! The event provides a unique experience that combines dragon boating with Canadian winter sport culture. Teams will face off in the 2nd IIDBF World Club Crew Ice Dragon Boat Championships.

Twelve-person boats are equipped with skate-like blades and competitors propel themselves along the course using spiked ice-picks. Practice sessions will be held for participating teams on February 9. Teams from around the world will compete on the Rideau Canal Skateway at Dow's Lake on February 10.

Check out the races and enjoy free concerts at the The Rainbow in the Byward Market throughout Winterlude from February 2-19.
