On April 27, 2024 we are running to raise money for the Canadian Mental Health Association North Vancouver STEPS program. CAD$5.00 from your event registration will be donated to CMHA.

HOW IT WORKS
This is a local and virtual event. If you live locally or would like to travel then you join us at our local event at Alice Lake in Squamish, BC. If you do not live locally or cannot make it to the local event then you simply have the freedom to register for the Virtual Event and run your chosen distance when you are able to, wherever you live.
- We have four event distances options Marathon (42km), Half Marathon (21km), 11k or 1k.
- All event distances are in the trails within the Alice Lake Provincial Park in Squamish, BC. April 27, 2024.
- The event fee includes your bib number, a donation of $5.00 to the CMHA steps program, a finishers GIFT, a shuttle service to and from the start/finish line and the off site parking location, finish line food, drinks and so much fun!
- We will have massage therapists on site offering complimentary massages to all.
- Draw prizes from our sponsors and donors!!
- Registration for the Virtual Runners closes March 8th, the reason for this registration closing at this time is to ensure that we can mail and get you your package before the event day.
- Registration for Local participants closes April 22 or when we have reached the max number of 350 participants. Event day registration is available - cash only.

1km Hooray Fun Run:
- $10.00 until April 27, 2024
- Run start time 9:45am
- All finishers receive a finishers medal.
- The 1KM Hoory Fun Run course is 1.64kms and consists of rolling non technical trail paths around Alice Lake.

PETS
There are NO DOGS ALLOWED at this event! There are no exceptions. Event Permits are at risk if you or your family or anyone cheering you on brings their dog.
CARPOOLING/ EVENT PARKING
In order to have a successful event day for everyone and to comply with the parks parking requirements, all of the event participants need to carpool. We have only 50 parking spots for our event.

CHIP TIMING
We focus on being present, our journeys to get to the start line and we challenge everyone to release the pressure we put on ourselves to run timed. We encourage all paces and abilities to look around and take in the whole experience. Thank you for being apart of that. Our events focus on your running journey and not your finish time. We celebrate all finish lines no matter the time, therefore do not have chip timing.

Our runs will be lead by multiple trail leaders. We will be seperating into smaller pace groups as we make our way through the route. We will be taking you on trails and sections of each of the Be Fearless races distances.

NO DOGS ALLOWED! This is strictly enforced for participants, spectators and volunteers. No dogs are allowed beyond the parking lot at Alice Lake, this means no dogs at the start/finish area of the event. Our permits are at risk if this rule is not followed.

4. Trail Etiquette:
- These trails are open to the public during the run so please be aware of others who are out there waking and running.
- We highly discourage listening to music while running on the trails for your safety and everyone else's around you.
- Sections of the trails are also open to mountain bike riders, if you see a bike rider or hear one behind you please move to the side and let them pass.
- Throw out a HIGH FIVE, a WAY TO GO, GOOD JOB, or a PAT ON THE BACK to other runners!
- We are all out there giving it our all and supporting each other!

- Leaving from the lower mainland take the Trans-Canada Hwy/BC-1 W. Take the British Columbia 1 W exit from BC-15 N -Take BC-99 N to Alice Lake Rd in Squamish -Merge onto Trans-Canada Hwy/BC-1 W Partial toll road - Keep left to continue on BC-99 N - Drive to Alice Lake Rd - Turn right onto Alice Lake Rd - Turn left to stay on Alice Lake Rd, Alice Lake Provincial Park Brackendale, BC V0N 1H0

Our registration, event cancelation and transfer policy is as follows:
– We do not offer bib transfers, if you can no longer make our local event then we like to offer the virtual option.
– If you have registered as a local participant and can no longer make it you can transfer your event status to virtual and we will mail your package, you are responsible for paying for the shipping.
– Our policy includes no bib transfers to following event years or to other people. If you are switching to a shorter distance we do not offer refunds on the price change. If you are moving up in distance then you are to pay for the difference.
– We do not offer refunds on registrations, we apologize for this but our event is a fundraiser.
– In the event of cancellation of the event for reasons including, but not limited to, weather, forest fires, acts of nature, war, strikes or other extenuating circumstances, Run Like A Girl Adventures Inc. will provide the following:
The option to convert registration to a virtual runner, there are no extra costs associated with this. Your event package is mailed to you and you can run where you live, track your run and upload results online;
AND
Early access to registration for the same event for the following year only; a 25% discount on registration for any distance in the same event for the following year only;
AND
A 25% discount in our online store along with early access for the same event registration for the following year only;
In addition: the option for a full refund on any event merchandise that has been purchased; and the option to receive the event shirt, purchased event merchandise or any other produced event items, for the cost of shipping.
** Deferrals (with the 25% discount) are only applicable for one calendar year from the race you transfer out of (meaning the event entry can be deferred to any OTHER event, but not the same event one year later). Entries can only be deferred a single time, to a single event. – If you have extenuating personal circumstances please email info@runlikeagirl.ca
