Participant Directions
- Start at the Cobourg Yacht Club.
- Head west towards the boardwalk. (Do not go onto the boardwalk).
- Turn north onto Hibernia St and head towards Orr St
- Turn west onto Orr St. and head towards Durham St.
- Turn south onto Durham St. and head towards Sydenham St.
- Turn onto Sydenham St. and head west until the Peace Park (Sydenham will change to Clyde St. just before going into the park)
- Just before going onto the park path there is a water station. This is also the turn around for participants doing the 2.5K event. 2.5 km participants will turn here and return to the yacht club using the same directions in reverse.
- Those doing the 5K will use the park path to go over the bridge and exit the park onto Tremaine Terrace.
- Head west on Tremaine until you get to the very end of Monk St (Tremaine turns into Monk St)
- At the end of Monk St there is a pathway on the south side of the road. Take the pathway to Suzanne Mess Blvd.
- Use Suzanne Mess Blvd and head north to get to King St. West.
- Turn onto King St West and head west for 250 m.
- There will be a water station on King St West marking 2.5 km. This is the 5 km participant turn around. 5 km participants will turn here and return to the yacht club using the same directions in reverse.
The course is marked with signage at significant decision-making points. Signs will be on wooded stakes and consist of arrows pointing in the direction that you need to go. Also, there are Marshal points along the course. Most Marshal points will have a volunteer helping with directions.
Water Stations
It is always a good idea to carry water on the course. If you are not carrying water or need a refill of your water, you will find 2 water stations on the course. Water station one is at 1.25 kms and both the 2.5 km and 5 km participants will have access to it. The 5 km participants will have access to water station one on their return at 3.75 km. Water station two is at 2.5 kms and the 5 km participants will have access to it.
Water, drinks, and snacks will be available at the finish line area.
