We have various opportunities available from May 3rd, 2024 - May 5th, 2024 at Kit pick-up to Race Day. We will do our best to accommodate your volunteer position requests, but please be flexible as race weekend demands can change.
Only register once. You may sign up for multiple volunteer shifts during your registration. Please do not register multiple times or you may be removed from our system.

Registration: Minimum age 16. Required to work at bib/shirt pick-up.
Set-up: Minimum age 12. Assist in setting up and organizing expo, food, registration and medals areas.
Shirt Pick-up: Minimum age 12. Required to work at bib/shirt pick-up.
Logistics: Minimum age 16. Required to help organize/load course trucks/ and place supplies along the course.
Drivers: Minimum age 25. Required to drive cube vans on race day as part of the logistics team.
Bus Marshal: Minimum age 16. Required to supervise the loading of shuttle buses. Indicate preferred location. Hilton Hotel (University/Richmond) or Hotel X (Exhibition Place).
Bag Check: Minimum age 14. Assist in loading and unloading participants bags. Indicate the area that you prefer. Start Line (Yonge/Sheppard) or Finish Line (Exhibition Place).
Start Line Marshal: Minimum age 14. Required to maintain the integrity of the start area on race day. Marathon/Half Marathon (Yonge/Sheppard).
Finish Line Marshal: Minimum Age 16. Required to maintain the integrity of the Finish line chute at Exhibition Place.
Security: Minimum age 18. Required to maintain the integrity of the Start/Finish areas. Indicate your preferred location Marathon/Half Marathon Yonge/Sheppard) or 5k/10k (Exhibition Place).
Information Booth: Minimum age 16. Required to assist participants as needed. Must have excellent knowledge of event.
Hospitality: Minimum age 16. Required to assist our volunteers on Friday, Saturday and on race day to make sure they are looked after.
Volunteer Check-in: Minimum age 16. Required to assist in organizing our volunteers for race weekend.
Bike Marshals: Minimum age: 16. Required to ride and supervise the course while maintaining the safety and security for participants. Must be a competent and experienced cyclist. Indicate the area that you would prefer to ride: Start Line, Mid-Town, Rosedale/Distillery, Lakeshore.
Course Marshals: Minimum age 16. Required to assist in keeping the course secure. Will include moving barricades into place and monitoring event until the last runner has passed. Indicate the area that you prefer. Yonge St., Forest Hill, Lakeshore.
Food: Minimum age: 12. Required to assist in safely providing food to our participants.
Water Stations: Minimum age 14. Required to support participants at water/hydration stations on the course.
Medals: Minimum age 12. Required to unpack, sort and distribute event medals to participants.
Medical Team: Minimum age 20. Required to assist our team on race day. Preferred RN/MD, Physio or Chiropractor, Advanced First Aid, Ski Patrol, must provide credentials.
Strike Team: Minimum age 14. Required to assist in the event clean-up at the finish area, including packing and loading of equipment onto our trucks.
Please take the time to read this information thoroughly.
1. Waiver: All volunteers must complete our online application and agree to the waiver.
2. Position: We cannot guarantee that you will be placed in the position you requested. We hope that you can be flexible, as you may be assigned to an area where you're most needed.
3. Personal Belongings: It is your responsibility to keep your valuables safe. We are not responsible for lost or stolen items.
4. Volunteer Shirt: A shirt, hat or safety vest will be provided to you when you check in. It must be worn during your shift for identification.
5. Dress: Check the weather. Since Toronto is known for having four seasons in a day; it’s recommended that you check before your shift and dress appropriately. Remember that the event goes rain or shine and our participants are depending on you.
6. Please be on Time: Scheduled shifts work around road closures and race times and being late will interrupt the event, and could jeopardize participant safety. Volunteering is a job, and our participants depend on you being there.
7. Age Requirement: We recommend those under 14 come with a parent or guardian. Those between 14-16 should come with a friend.
8. Vaccination: We recommend volunteers be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. And follow Provincial, and City of Toronto public health guidelines.
9. Have Fun! Your smiles are what creates the perfect environment for the participants. Great customer service is what we strive for.
