OPPORTUNITY INTERNATIONAL unleashes the power of entrepreneurs in some of the world’s poorest countries. Through innovative partnerships, our programs enable people to expand their businesses, feed their families, create jobs and change their communities. Every minute, an Opportunity client accesses the financial tools, training and support to escape poverty and gain the opportunity to live a life with dignity and purpose.

In 2021 we served 18.7 million people in 30 countries. Opportunity partners with local organizations in the countries where we work to ensure we understand and meet the needs of the families we seek to serve.

Leveraging the relationship-based distribution network our partners operate in, we supplement loans with community development solutions that address other barriers that often keep families in poverty. We help them live safe, healthy, productive lives and send their children to school, ending the generational poverty cycle for good. Charity Intelligence recognized Opportunity International Canada as one of the Top 100 Canadian Charities for the impact made.
