Runners can continue to register online for the race; however, anyone who registers after this time will not be given a finisher medal at the finish line. Please check at the Awards Tent after you are done racing to see if we may have had any no-shows.
The 3rd Annual RAD Half Marathon & 10k are fast, incredibly scenic races that start in the heart of Downtown Asheville, North Carolina. Both races whiz downhill to the River Arts District, and wind along the peaceful French Broad River. You’ll be greeted with your choice of a complimentary beer or cup of ice cream, a one-of-a-kind finisher medal, live music, and a free shuttle back to the start line after the race.
This event is limited to 1400 participants.
If you're looking to soak in all the sights and sounds of Asheville while achieving a new PR, this is the race for you!
The RAD Half Marathon and the 10K course are both USATF Sanctioned and Certified.

Event Swag
All runners will receive a complimentary Dri-fit Tech shirt, available in men's and women's sizes, with their registration until Sunday, May 12th at midnight! Beginning May 13th, shirts will be available for purchase in limited quantities and sizes for $20.
Don't forget! You can choose to have your shirt and bib shipped to you before the race for $15. This option is available up until May 26th at midnight, either during registration or from the Race Store.

Run THREE iDaph Events Half Marathons in 2024 and get a gorgeous, bonus Appalachian Trilogy medal!
If you register for at least three out of four iDaph Events half marathons in 2024, you’ll get an awesome extra medal after the last one! The deadline to register for at least three of the races is July 7, 2024 at midnight (so we can order your medals!) Medals will be given out at the 2024 Black Bear Half Marathon event.
Here are the four eligible events to choose from. As long as you are registered for at least THREE of them by July 7th at midnight, you’ll get your extra medal!
