Our story…
In October 2022, Aja was diagnosed with stage 3b ovarian cancer. After 6 chemotherapy treatments, she was cancer free in early 2023. Unfortunately, by summer 2023, the cancer had returned and metastasized throughout Aja's abdomen. Now, Aja is doing weekly chemo treatments and has a positive outlook for the future.
Aja and her team are riding because they know the important role research is for cancer treatments and how vital funding is for research, especially ovarian cancer research.
Aja's Teal on Wheels believes that no woman should have to die from ovarian cancer, and hopes for a cure for all cancers.
