Our story…

Help us change the conversation about epilepsy and show people living with seizures what they can do. Walk or run in the 5K, 10K, Half Marathon, Full Marathon - or do one race each day for the challenge series. Support Empowering Epilepsy's Team by donating and then fundraising. Ask your friends and family to support your run or walk by sharing this on your social media sites. 

Your support allows us to better educate people with epilepsy and their loved ones about epilepsy and seizures, so they know how to talk to their doctors and get a more accurate diagnosis and treatment plan sooner.

Description

1 in 26 people will be diagnosed with epilepsy in their lifetime. Once diagnosed, their lives can change until, or only if, their seizures are under control. They lose their independence, their self esteem, and sometimes the ability to do the things they are good at doing. 

Support Empowering Epilepsy, whose mission is to change the conversation about epilepsy and seizures, and show people living with epilepsy what they can do. Empowering Epilepsy provides free or low cost programs and services to help people better understand their diagnosis and treatment plan, and discover what they can do.
