My Story
I am running well maybe walking the Sporting Life 10 K on Mother’s Day and writing to ask for your support.
Every dollar raised can help support campers in their in hospital programs, community programs and summer camp programs.
Many of you may not know about Camp or what it does or how and why I am so involved so I will share a bit about it and let you know that you can find more information in the link below and also find the information needed to sponsor me. Thank you in advance.
So back to my camp story, I have been volunteering at camp for ten years sometimes with one of my kids, Erin or Eden, and recently mostly alone while bolstered by our camp community.
I volunteer in Muskoka for a week in the summer, online in many virtual programs, in the city for March Break programs, in the hospital, in the volunteer community and in many other ways.
What I have seen is that camp and its programs spearheaded by a tremendous volunteer community provides a place where campers and their families can laugh, challenge themselves, make lifelong connections and more and they can do all of this because of your support!

Help deliver healing through happiness to kids with cancer or serious illness and their families.
When a child is diagnosed with cancer or serious illness, it impacts the whole family. Kids miss out on simple childhood joys, household incomes are often cut in half as caregivers take on the full-time responsibility of caring for a sick child, and families struggle to make time for special experiences. When you donate to Campfire Circle you are supporting in-hospital, community and overnight camp programs that create opportunities for children to build friendships and social skills, develop self-confidence and resiliency, and improve their overall well-being. Through play-based experiences, you are helping empower kids to take back their childhood, regardless of their medical diagnosis. With your support, we can continue to offer our programs at no cost to families and grow our circle of care to provide additional play-based experiences across all four paediatric hospitals, and improve our medically supported and accessible overnight camps so that every eligible child can benefit from our innovative and impactful programs.
