My Story
Please help me raise money to send at least one child battling cancer or other serious illness to camp for one week - at no cost to their family, with full medical support. I can tell you first hand, it will change their life forever and help in their healing!
As the Board Chair of this amazing organization, I have seen first hand the meaningful impact that this organization has on kids and families that have been impacted by cancer or other serious illnesses.
I am also a childhood cancer survivor, and was very fortunate to have benefited from their programs while battling stage 4 cancer and for many years after. At a young age, Camp Trillium (now part of Campfire Circle) opened my eyes to the fact that other kids were going through something similar and it quickly became a significant part of my healing process - giving me a place to have fun and be me / a kid, without worry or judgement.
By fundraising, I'm aiming to give another child a chance to benefit from Campfire Circle's life-changing programs while fostering friendships and building social skills, confidence, and overall well-being. All at no cost to the families!

Help deliver healing through happiness to kids with cancer or serious illness and their families.
When a child is diagnosed with cancer or serious illness, it impacts the whole family. Kids miss out on simple childhood joys, household incomes are often cut in half as caregivers take on the full-time responsibility of caring for a sick child, and families struggle to make time for special experiences. When you donate to Campfire Circle you are supporting in-hospital, community and overnight camp programs that create opportunities for children to build friendships and social skills, develop self-confidence and resiliency, and improve their overall well-being. Through play-based experiences, you are helping empower kids to take back their childhood, regardless of their medical diagnosis. With your support, we can continue to offer our programs at no cost to families and grow our circle of care to provide additional play-based experiences across all four paediatric hospitals, and improve our medically supported and accessible overnight camps so that every eligible child can benefit from our innovative and impactful programs.
