My Story
There is nothing in this world that makes my heart happier than being able to participate in the #SL10K run each year.
Being able to support kids that are suffering from cancer is the least I can do after what #SickKids and #CampFireCircle have done for our very own Mighty Mateja!
Mateja was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma at 5 months old. It was not the news we ever expected to hear, but here we were trying to save our little baby girl. I am pleased to say that with her fight and determination our Mighty Mateja had fought the toughest fight of her life and in the end, she became our champion! She is now 12 1/2 years old, living her life to the fullest. Mateja is full of life with a smile to light up the room.
We do this each year for our #MightyMateja and all the other warriors out there! Thank you to all our friends and family who have supported us in this journey throughout the years ❤

We need your support in order for #CampFireCircle to offer children a hopeful journey, where kids with cancer can just be kids, and where families can connect with a community of strength and support when they need it the most.

Help deliver healing through happiness to kids with cancer or serious illness and their families.
When a child is diagnosed with cancer or serious illness, it impacts the whole family. Kids miss out on simple childhood joys, household incomes are often cut in half as caregivers take on the full-time responsibility of caring for a sick child, and families struggle to make time for special experiences. When you donate to Campfire Circle you are supporting in-hospital, community and overnight camp programs that create opportunities for children to build friendships and social skills, develop self-confidence and resiliency, and improve their overall well-being. Through play-based experiences, you are helping empower kids to take back their childhood, regardless of their medical diagnosis. With your support, we can continue to offer our programs at no cost to families and grow our circle of care to provide additional play-based experiences across all four paediatric hospitals, and improve our medically supported and accessible overnight camps so that every eligible child can benefit from our innovative and impactful programs.
