Welcome Back
Jan. 20, 2024 marks the 18th Annual Walk the Fight & Run the Distance supporting the community outreach and wellness programs offered through the Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center at Barrow Neurological Institute. You may notice some subtle changes this year as our presenting organization, the Parkinson Network of Arizona has formally dissolved and the Barrow Neurological Foundation is now the presenting organization.
On behalf of the Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center we would like to thank the Parkinson Network of Arizona board and all of the supporters of the walk/run, golf tournaments, and jazz festivals who have helped to raise a little over $850,000 during the last 17 years in support of our outreach programs. THANK YOU!
The event will offer a two-block fun walk, a 4K (2.8-mile) walk, and a 5K (3.2-mile) timed run. In addition, there will be a resource fair showcasing vendors important to aging and Parkinson's disease communities. Come a little early so you have time to visit the resource fair, take a picture at the photo booth, and make a team/family poster.
For our four-legged friends, we will have a contest and other events specially made for them, keep an eye out for more details. Tempe Beach Park does require all pets to be on a leash.

Race Day Registration will be available beginning at 7:30am at Tempe Beach Park.
We accept cash, and credit cards on race day (checks are no longer accepted)
- Cost of registration on race day will be $50 for the run and $40 for the walk.
We welcome wheelchairs, strollers & wagons.
Leashed pet friendly
No roller blades, skateboards or motorized devices are allowed on the run or walk courses.
