My Story…
I love my job, but some days it's hard. We meet families every day that are struggling and the one foundation we can count on is the Toronto Foundation for Student Success. The TFSS supports our students in need, including during crisis. We help families through very difficult times that no one should have to experience (a house fire, death of a parent or child, leaving domestic abuse etc.) and accessing support through TFSS is critical.
Please support our work at the TDSB in helping students achieve success and overcome obstacles. The TFSS directly helps students in need and supports our role as school social workers. Without the emergency fund, nutrition programs, sight and sound programs, many of our families would be left without a safety net. Thank you for your support!
Description
TFSS’ mission is to remove barriers for children so that every child is nourished and able to learn. By providing food, eye and ear care, emergency funds and after school programs for children in need, we help them succeed in school.
Founded in 1998, TFSS is an independent, registered charitable organization dedicated to supporting Toronto District School Board children and helping remove barriers to their education.
We believe that if we improve the health and well-being of our children they will do better in school, and if they do better in school then they will have a better future.
