Help Sahil raise money

This Sunday, October 20^th, I will be competing in the Toronto Waterfront half-marathon (21.2km), with the purpose of raising awareness of, and funds for, the charitable initiatives of Shrimad Rajchandra 'Love and Care' (SRLC), an initiative of Shrimad Rajchandra Mission Dharampur (Canada). SRLC’s mandate is to extend ‘Love and Care’ to the most vulnerable members of our society via a variety of local efforts including, toy drives, blood and plasma donation campaigns, park restoration exercises, senior home visits, food drives, and much more.

My Focus: Over the past year, SRLC has taken decisive action against food insecurity in Toronto’s Moss Park, distributing freshly prepared hot meals every other Saturday each month to the homeless, as well as those suffering from substance abuse and mental health challenges.

The cost of a singular hot meal is $8 – and yet the impact cannot be quantified. While on average SRLC has been able to distribute 100+ meals per visit, the need is far greater. What constrains SRLC’s efforts, however, is a shortage of funds. Accordingly, your donation will enable SRLC to feed as many lives as possible on any given Saturday.
