I have the honor as serving as the Chair of the Board for Courage in Action - a wonderful organization that helps women moving on after domestic violence and other challenging circumstances - a cause close to my heart.  You can read more about what we do at www.courageinaction.org. This run is one of our main fundraising events of the year.  I know fundraising goals are ubiquitous and deciding where your donations go is never easy – I am grateful for even your time and attention.

If you do decide to donate, please know your help directly impacts the women in our programs, including sponsoring the bursaries we give out each year so that our members can pursue education, certificates and related goals to help them move on with their lives independently of their pasts.  Last year one of our recipients came up to me with tears in her eyes and said the bursary we gave her to pursue her paralegal license changed not just her life but created an intergenerational shift away from violence, abuse and poverty.  Our work, and your donations, makes a real difference.
