My Story…
When people tell me it's amazing to volunteer to read with little kids, I just nod and smile. When a child brings me a book, when they point to the words and sound them out, when they laugh at the pictures, I hope for a moment they forget the upheaval of their life before the Red Door. And I know that soon they will be in their own safe home where they can tuck into bed and read a book. That's amazing.
Description
I am running for The Red Door Family Shelter. Your support will help families experiencing homelessness by providing them with safe, temporary refuge and critical services to support them in healing, rebuilding their lives, and integrating back into a community.
