My Story…

Description

Please support me as I run for Gilda’s Toronto in the October 2024 hybrid TCS Toronto Waterfront Marathon, ½ Marathon and 5K. Gilda’s Toronto provides cancer support programs free of charge to adults living with cancer and support for their teens and children who are experiencing cancer-related stress as a result of living with someone with cancer. They also provide bereavement support to those who have lost someone to cancer. The need for Gilda’s has never been greater. In the last few years, many more people with later-stage cancers have sought support from Gilda's Toronto. Your donation will help make it possible for people impacted by cancer, to access and receive the support they need to reduce isolation and cancer-related anxiety. Your donation helps ensure that individuals and families affected by cancer continue to receive the emotional, educational and health-focused cancer support they require. In the words of a Gilda’s member participant: My world fell apart when I was diagnosed with cancer, but joining the Gilda’s Toronto community, made me feel like I wasn’t alone and no words can fully express my gratitude for their incredible support. By supporting me, you help Gilda’s Toronto continue to fulfill their vision: “to help people live while living with cancer”.  Thank you.
