My Story…
This year’s 2024 Scotiabank Charity Challenge will again be an exciting time.
Please support Adina, Andy and Marilyn as part of the Eli’s Place Team participating in the Scotiabank Charity Challenge.
Again, Adina and I will take part this year with Adina’s two children (my grandchildren). My son-in-law Andy will be running in the 10k. We support Eli’s Place for its very important mission.
This event is a crucial part of our fundraising efforts focussed on building and supporting Eli’s Place as a rural residential treatment centre for young adults with serious mental illness. This important goal will enable many, many young people to access help in overcoming and learning to cope with their individual situations.
We are part of the Eli’s Place Team and are looking forward to our 5 km walk on October 19.
We hope we can count on your support!

Thank you so much for your help!
My very best,

Description
For the 160,000 young adults in Ontario grappling with serious mental illness, access to effective treatment is grossly inadequate. The cost in lives lived with debilitating challenges or lost to early death is far too great. The vision of Eli’s Place aims to bring hope. A first-of-its-kind in Canada, Eli’s Place is modelled after a leading rural, residential long-term treatment centre with proven success. Programs that incorporate therapeutic work, specialized care and skills training will offer a path to recovery for people in this underserved age group, giving them the tools to heal and move from simply surviving to living.
