My Story…
Campaign message from Moses: https://youtu.be/410jduP2x1E
Did you know that Sickle Cell Disease affects 20 million people worldwide? I am one of those 20 million. On October 19th, I will proudly represent the Sickle Cell community, walking alongside many others in a 5K run to raise awareness of how much work is still needed to find a cure.
In March, I had the incredible opportunity to attend Sickle Cell Disease Action Day at a reception held at Queen's Park, accompanied by my grandmother, Eunice. I was the youngest attendee, demonstrating courage and presence among policymakers in Ontario. My parents often remind me: if you want something done, you have to ask the right person, never give up, and always work toward your goals.
As I prepare for the upcoming race in the next few weeks I am asking for your prayers—for good weather, good health, and strength. I would also greatly appreciate any donations toward my campaign, Moses Moves. All proceeds will go to SCAGO, an organization dedicated to supporting children, adolescents, and adults with Sickle Cell Disease. SCAGO invests 100% of its resources into improving the quality of life for individuals and families affected by the disease. Your donation not only supports SCAGO but also shows solidarity with the Sickle Cell community.
Please help me reach my goal of $2,000.
Thank you,
Moses
