Our story…
We're a team of five local Toronto runners—Dekel Chui, Tom Brooks, Jared Nylander, Derek Beaton, and Andrew Bondoc—and we’re excited to be raising money for Annex Cat Rescue, a cause that’s close to our hearts. After successfully breaking the Guinness World Record for the Fastest Half Marathon in a Five-Person Costume, we’re gearing up for our next challenge: the Fastest Full Marathon! In tribute to our beloved city, we’ll be donning a TTC streetcar costume.

Description
Until that time, we care for cats and kittens in a variety of ways including (but not limited to) daily feeding and colony management, medical/dental care, socializing, fostering, adopting or, in the case of feral cats, spaying/neutering and returning (TNR). ACR remains 100% volunteer-run with nearly 90% of monies raised helping cats in partnership with veterinarians who provide services at reduced rates.
Annex Cat Rescue relies exclusively on donations. The year 2022 marked our 25th anniversary; an amazing accomplishment for a charity that began with neighbours gathering to help homeless cats. This success is due to many committed volunteers and the generosity of our supporters. We continue to face extraordinary challenges including (but not limited to) cats requiring urgent medical and dental care as well as spay/neuter and vaccinations. Our work supporting homeless cats in our community cannot happen without ongoing support.
