Help Samuel raise money

Hello! My name is Sam, and I’m raising money to run in Twin Cities Marathon on

October 6th, 2024 for YMCA of the North’s Adventure Team, a cohort of 17+ camps and

adventure programs that offer outdoor experiences for all ages, 365 days per year. Y Adventure

is fundraising specifically to increase our equity, inclusion and belonging efforts- including but

not limited to: scholarships, continued learning experiences for our staff, and more! Y

Adventure is committed to creating inclusive, accessible spaces that acknowledge shared history and nurture diverse communities.

After graduating high school, I jumped at the opportunity to work at YMCA Camp Northern Lights. Although I had never been a part of the YMCA camping community, working outside had always appealed to me. Working at camp was one of the most formative experiences of my life. It would be great to enable similar experiences for others. I am most grateful for the connections I have made with other staff, campers, and volunteers. Connection, whether it's fleeting or lasts for years or even generations, proves to us that we have value. Connection is what YMCA camping does best. Everyone deserves to feel that.
