Our story…

WE ARE CHINATOWN SHOWBOAT!

We are one of Ottawa's most spirited, craziest, and community-minded dragon boat teams. We're all about having tons of fun, developing our paddling skills, and supporting our community through fundraising.

The team practices at the Rideau Canoe Club on Tuesday evenings at 7 pm throughout the summer. Each year, we bring considerable spirit and noise to the Ottawa Dragon Boat Festival. We don costumes, decorate our tent, and lose our voices after a day of cheering! Sometimes, we get recognized for it!

Paddling skills run the full spectrum from experienced paddlers with competitive teams to individuals with little or no experience. All are welcome!

Our weekly practice prepares the team to compete in the festival, and it’s a great way to spend a Tuesday night.

We are very committed to fundraising, and there are moderate fundraising expectations.
