My Story…
As someone with Crohn's disease, I know how debilitating it can be to every day life. 6 years ago I had almost completely lost the ability to eat, and when I did I would be immobile for hours afterwards due to the pain. I lost and gained weight rapidly due to different medication trials, and went months without a diagnosis due to the extensive trial and error required.
While I am truly lucky to be on medication that aids with my symptoms, many people are struggling with it every single day. It is an often invisible condition that can have many impacts on one's health that go far beyond just the digestive system. Making this disease easier to live with would impact the lives of so many, and if I can participate in that it would mean the world!
