The Braestone Winter Classic Charity Pond Hockey Tournament is about friends and neighbours coming together to play some shinny and raise monies for a cause that touches far too many people.
It is inspired by my brother, Jeff, who passed from cancer a few short years ago. Jeff was the ideal tournament player: he had a passion for the game; he made everyone feel welcome; he made folks laugh out loud.
Cette année je joue aussi en mémoire de mon ami Jules Roux qui nous a quitté le 5 décembre dernier. Jules était un homme de famille, qui aimait ricanner et raconter des histoires. J'ai eu le plaisir - non, la JOIE - de travailler à côté de Jules pendant de nombreuses années: C'était un joueur d'équipe, persévérant, et un motivateur sans égale. J'espère de pouvoir répliquer les qualités de Jules sur l'étang cette année.
