Join us for one of VR Pro's signature race events - the Butter Tart Festival. Each race kit comes with a finisher medal, and butter tarts! The 1KM event makes this race fun for the whole family.

Track your virtual run/walk and submit your results using the ASICS Runkeeper™ app

How to track your run/walk and record your results using the RunkeeperTM app:
1. From your mobile device, go to your Race Roster dashboard for this event HERE
2. Click on the “Connect to my app” button, where you will be asked to confirm your name within the app (confirm your name and the event will be added to your app)
3. Revisit the Runkeeper™ app when you are ready to participate. From your start screen, click the flag symbol (bottom right) and select the race to start recording.
4. Complete your distance and save the activity. Your results will be automatically posted to the Race Roster leaderboard
5. From the results page, click on your name to see your finisher summary

How to submit your results without RunkeeperTM app:
Please submit the results for your virtual race on the results page.

1. Make sure you are logged into your participant dashboard HERE.
2. Go to the virtual results page: https://results.raceroster.com/v2/en-US/results/pecz66btsxdw3u6g/results
3. Click the submit a virtual result button
4. Enter your time it took you to complete the race and submit your results.

Everyone who posts their results will receive a virtual finisher's certificate.

Whats Included

Everyone who registers will get a one of a kind finisher medal!

The first 400 people to register will receive butter tarts and a running belt included in your race kit

Age category awards will be given out for both the 3KM and 5KM events. Awards will be given to the top three people in each age category (5-year increments).

Event Details

The in-person race will take place at Spencer Smith Park in Burlington. In the case of cancellation of the in-person race, we will not be issuing any refunds or returning the difference in pricing. If the in-person event is cancelled you will be switched into the virtual race. We only cancel in the event of extreme conditions, any cancellations will be communicated to registered participants in advance of the event.

Race Start Times:

9:00AM - Kids 1KM Start
9:30AM - 3KM and 5KM Start

Parking and Getting There:

The race will start and end at Spencer Smith Park - West Lawn.

Event Address: Spencer Smith Park West Lawn - 1340 Lakeshore Rd Burlington, ON. We will be starting at the compass area behind Spencer's Restaurant, located here.

Parking:

Parking directly beside Spencer's restaurant is prohibited as it is for customers of Spencer's only.. You may park at any of the following public parking lots listed below (listed in order of proximity). Please be sure to follow any and all local bylaws. Many of the local lots are now paid parking on Saturdays.

Nelson Ave Parking Lot - in Spencer Smith Park

Brock Ave South Lot - 456 Brock Ave Burlington

Elgin St Parking Lot - 1360-1376 Elgin St Burlington

Waterfront Parking Garage- 414 Locust St

Users will need to pay for parking in these lots and metered on-street parking from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Lot 1 - Pearl Street Lot, 431 Elizabeth St.
Lot 4 - Elizabeth Street Lot, 421 John St.
Lot 5 - Brant Street Lot, 391 Brant St.

Other lots may require paid parking as well, please be sure to follow all bylaws on race day.

Race Results:

The 3KM and 5KM races are both chip timed, race timing services will be provided by Speed River Timing. Results will be available at speedrivertiming.com within seconds of you crossing the finish line.

Strollers and Dogs:

Strollers are permitted in the race, we just ask that if you are running with a stroller you start at the back of the corral. Dogs are NOT permitted to take part in any of the events.

Weather:

The race will happen rain or shine, we only cancel in the event of extreme conditions. Please plan according to the weather on race day. It is your responsibility to ensure you are taking steps to keep yourself safe and choose a distance that is safe for you. You can switch distances at no charge by emailing us at info@vrpro.ca

Race Kit Pickup:

Race kits and bibs must be picked up before lining up at the starting line. All runners must have a bib pinned to the front of their shirt in order to take part in the race. You can pickup your race kit and bib during any of the times listed below. You can have someone else pickup your race kit on your behalf. There is a race day kit pick up option available as well.

Race Route

The race route will take you along Burlington's Beautiful walking trails. The route is an out and back style course and is fast and flat.

There will be one water station along the course at the 1.5KM mark. The 3K runners will reach the water station once and the 5K runners will reach the water station twice.
